Fire fighting system approved by Lloyd's Register

Novenco's fire fighting systems for accommodation areas approved by Lloyd’s Register.

After two years of hard work, Lloyd’s Register has now approved the XFlow® accommodation system.

The purpose of the tests was to be awarded type approval by Lloyd’s Register. 22 different fire tests were carried out according to IMO guidelines and Lloyd's requirements. The tests were all carried out at our business partner VID ApS together with a representative of SINTEF (an accredited Norwegian test laboratory) and a Lloyd’s Register representative.

In order to live up to the Lloyd’s Register requirements and the general increased focus on safety, Novenco has passed the performance tests for public areas, corridors, cabins and shopping and storage areas. Furthermore, the nozzles have been tested for vibration, nozzle function, nozzle strength and clogging.

The result of all the hard work was that Novenco received the type approval certificate from Lloyd's Register in Febuary 2007.
